Mental Health

Currently over 11 million days are lost at work a year because of stress at work, and 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health issue at some point. The HSE states that ‘Whether work is causing the health issue or aggravating it, employers have a legal responsibility to help their employees. Work-related mental health issues must to be assessed to measure the levels of risk to staff. Where a risk is identified, steps must be taken to remove it or reduce it as far as reasonably practicable’.

It is widely accepted that our mental health is equally important as our physical health and if not managed can cause physical health issues. Our courses are designed to offer an understanding of mental health issues, how to offer support, signpost and to reduce the stigma associated with mental health issues.
